United Airlines is allowing customers to pool frequent flyer miles with family and friends for travel on the airline. An individual can pick up to four other people to join the joint account, with the leader needing to be at least 18 years old. Once miles are in the pool, they stay there for use towards flights and other products on United’s site or app. JetBlue Airways and Frontier Airlines also offer loyalty points pooling to customers, aiming to engage less to moderately frequent travelers and increase brand preference across families.
