US stock futures rose on Thursday ahead of the second day of testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Tech stocks led the way, with Nasdaq futures up 0.4% and S&P 500 futures up 0.2%. Powell’s first day of questioning by lawmakers brought no bad news, and he reiterated that rate cuts are likely this year. Gold prices rose for the fifth consecutive day, hitting a new high above $2,060. Investors are awaiting Powell’s Senate appearance for more clarity on rate cuts. Victoria’s Secret shares dropped 29% in premarket trading after sales guidance disappointed. Deutsche Bank highlighted bullish trends in bitcoin ahead of a potential halving event in April.
