VanEck has waived the sponsor fee for its Bitcoin Trust (HODL), offering exposure to spot bitcoin. The fee waiver will last from March 12, 2024, to March 31, 2025, for the first $1.5B of assets. After this period, the sponsor fee will be 0.20%. This move aims to provide competitive pricing for investors. VanEck filed for a bitcoin ETF in 2017 and manages 12 crypto ETPs in Europe.
