Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its free credits offering for startups to use generative AI models from Anthropic, Meta, Mistral AI, and Cohere on Amazon Bedrock. This move aims to strengthen AWS’s presence in the generative AI market, offering $500,000 in credits to new startups in partnership with Y Combinator.
AWS recently partnered with Upstage, a South Korea-based AI startup, to launch its SOLAR MINI language model on AWS. Additionally, AWS extended collaboration with NVIDIA to introduce the Blackwell GPU platform on AWS, enhancing inference workloads for language models. These efforts aim to capitalize on the growing generative AI market projected to reach $191.8 billion by 2032.
Amazon faces competition from Microsoft and Google in the generative AI space. Microsoft’s Azure offers credits for AI startups to use OpenAI models, while Google Cloud leverages generative AI capabilities for growth. These companies are pushing the boundaries of AI technology to meet the increasing demand for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and IoT solutions.
