Apple denies violating court order regarding its App Store in response to Epic Games’ request for contempt. Epic accused Apple of restricting app downloads and payment methods. Epic wants free access to Apple’s tools, criticizing its business operations. Epic also claimed Apple imposed a 27% fee on developers. Other tech giants support Epic’s arguments against Apple, including Meta Platforms, Microsoft, X, and Match Group.

Epic largely lost the case against Apple, but the court ordered Apple to give developers more freedom for alternative payment methods. The U.S. Supreme Court rejected Apple’s appeal of the injunction order. Epic accused Apple of violating the court’s injunction by implementing a 27% fee on developers and restricting alternative payment options.
