Apple has removed Game Boy emulator iGBA from the App Store for violating App Review Guidelines on spam and copyright. Users noticed it was a knock-off of GBA4iOS by Riley Testut, leading to its popularity. Apple’s decision came after realizing iGBA included unauthorized content, causing its removal from the top of the charts. Testut criticized Apple for approving the counterfeit app without permission, filled with ads and tracking. iGBA’s developer, Mattia La Spina, apologized for the repercussions and has reached out to Testut via email.
