Australia stocks closed lower on Monday, with the ASX falling 0.46%. Top performers included Alumina Ltd, South32 Ltd, and Nickel Mines Ltd. Appen Ltd, Gold Road Resources Ltd, and Nextdc Ltd were among the worst performers. Volatility rose with falling stocks outnumbering advancing ones. Gold Futures edged up while Crude oil and Brent oil saw a slight decline. AUD/USD held steady while AUD/JPY rose and the US Dollar Index Futures fell slightly to 105.68.
