‘ChatGPT will be less verbose, use more conversational language’: OpenAI after latest GPT-4 Turbo update

OpenAI has updated ChatGPT with the new GPT-4 Turbo, offering improved writing, math, reasoning, and coding capabilities for paid users. Responses will now be more direct, less verbose, and conversational, trained on data up to April 2024. This update follows the release of GPT-4 with Vision API to developer accounts.

Two OpenAI employees, Leopold Aschenbrenner and Pavel Izmailov, were reportedly fired for leaking information after internal strikes and grievances. Aschenbrenner worked on AI safety and supported chief scientist Ilya Sutskever. Sam Altman recently hosted Fortune 500 executives in San Francisco and London to pitch AI services for corporate use.
