Chinese startup Shengshu Technology and Tsinghua University have launched Vidu, an AI-powered text-to-video app that can create 16-second clips at 1080p resolution with just one click. While not as long as OpenAI’s Sora, Vidu is China’s best attempt yet to compete in this space, showcased at the Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing.
