Consumer stocks remained steady pre-market on Monday, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) down 0.8% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) inactive. Kimberly-Clark (KMB) was up 0.3% after Ansell announced a $640 million acquisition of their PPE business.
Alibaba Group’s Alibaba Cloud unit launched a new pricing strategy for international customers, offering up to 59% price cuts on core public cloud products. Alibaba Group (BABA) was up 0.4% pre-market. Vital Farms (VITL) announced that COO Jason Dale will transition to a non-employee advisory position, leading to a 1% increase in premarket activity.
