Dave & Buster’s is introducing social wagering on their app, allowing customers to make $5 bets on arcade games like Hot Shots basketball or Skee-Ball. The feature, set to launch in a few months, aims to boost engagement among the company’s five million loyalty members and 30 million yearly visitors.

To enhance customer experience, Dave & Buster’s partnered with gamification software company Lucra. The limit on bet sizes and exact threshold have not been disclosed, but the average bet size on Lucra’s platform is $10.

Lucra, founded by ex-Goldman Sachs employees, aims to capitalize on the growing trend of social betting. The company has raised about $14 million and offers real-money contests in 44 states. Lucra’s app has been downloaded 150,000 times, facilitated over one million contests, and generated over $20 million in handle.
