Fixed Income Fund Outflows Surpass Equity Outflows…

In March, UK funds experienced a net outflow of £11.78 billion for the first quarter of the year, with fixed income seeing the largest net outflow at almost £5 billion, surpassing equity redemptions.
Every asset class saw outflows in February, with only money market and property funds showing small inflows.
Passive funds saw outflows of £1.33 billion in March, but over the quarter, the category attracted £3.74 billion. Active funds experienced £5.35 billion in outflows in March, surpassing £15 billion for the quarter.
Funds with a sustainability label faced outflows of £202 million in March, significantly less than the £4.95 billion withdrawn from funds without a sustainability mandate.
BlackRock, HSBC, and Legal & General saw strong net inflows in March, while Baillie Gifford experienced the largest outflow. Vanguard and Royal London also faced significant outflows in the month.
