Germany stocks, including DAX, fall 1.30% due to losses across sectors.

Germany stocks closed lower, with losses in multiple sectors dragging shares down. The DAX lost 1.30%, while the MDAX and TecDAX declined 1.28% and 1.19% respectively. Top gainers included Deutsche Boerse AG and Daimler Truck Holding AG, while Zalando SE and Bayer AG were among the biggest losers.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, with Jungheinrich AG hitting 52-week highs and HelloFresh SE falling to 5-year lows. The VDAX, which measures DAX options’ implied volatility, rose 13.17% to 14.87, a new 1-month high.

Gold Futures for June delivery rose 1.71% to $2,348.05 per ounce, while Crude oil and Brent oil contracts for May and June delivery both saw gains. In currency markets, EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.08, and EUR/GBP was also steady at 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.10% to 104.00.
