Google has launched an updated Find My Device feature for Android users worldwide, starting in the US and Canada. The feature can locate devices offline and is compatible with Android 9 and higher. Pixel 8 users can track devices even when off or with a dead battery, and Bluetooth tracker tags are available.

The Find My Device app enables collaborative tracking among Android users, similar to the iPhone’s Find My app. Users can pinpoint their device’s location on a map within the app, even offline. Features include “Find nearby” for precise location identification, sharing tracking with others, and ensuring data privacy and security through encryption.
