Hong Kong stocks rose cautiously on Monday amidst positive US-China talks, but investors are waiting for key economic data releases to gauge China’s economy strength in March. The Hang Seng Index gained 0.8%, with tech and Shanghai indexes also up. Gold producer Zijin Mining Group rallied 3.2% on rising bullion prices. Electric vehicle makers like Li Auto and BYD also saw gains, while Baidu, Li Ning, and Tencent Holdings slid. China is set to release inflation and trade data this week. Two mainland companies, Changzhou Wujin Zhongru Electronic Technology and Wuxi Dingbang Heat Exchange Equipment, saw strong trading debuts. Other Asian markets also rose.
