Liontrust Sees £6 Billion of Outflows

Liontrust Asset Management expressed that its core investment strategies are struggling due to high global interest rates. However, they highlighted inflows into their European Dynamic fund, performance of their Global Technology fund, and sustainable investing strategies. Net outflows totaled £6 billion in the financial year, with AUMA slipping marginally to £27.6 billion recently. Liontrust shares rose by nearly 7% in London.

In the fourth quarter, Liontrust reported net outflows of £1.21 billion, leaving AUMA at £27.8 billion, down 12% from the previous year. Despite positive market and investment performance, AUMA decreased marginally at the start of the new financial year. Overall, Liontrust faced net outflows exceeding £6 billion in the past year, including unsuccessful bid for GAM Holding AG acquisition.
