OpenAI has upgraded its AI model GPT-4 Turbo with enhanced capabilities in mathematics, reasoning, and writing. The new version is available to paid users of ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and the API, boasting an updated data library with a knowledge cut-off now set at April 2024.

The announcement was made by OpenAI via its official X account, highlighting improvements in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding for users of ChatGPT. Responses are expected to be more direct and less verbose, addressing previous complaints regarding conversational language and content generation.

OpenAI’s new GPT-4 Turbo model offers improved math, reasoning, and coding capabilities, as shown by benchmark scores in MATH and GPQA. The data library has also been updated to April 2024. However, benchmarks for HumanEval and MMLU did not show significant improvements in coding and natural language processing abilities.

The new GPT-4 Turbo model now offers an updated knowledge base with a data cut-off extended to April 2024, benefiting users with access to more recent information. The rollout of the new AI model is currently available to paid users of ChatGPT services.
