OpenAI appoints former Shopify executive Glen Worthington to head product and customer support. Worthington previously served as VP at Shopify, overseeing teams managing merchant issues. Shopify was incorporating AI to assist merchants and improve support efficiency. Worthington will now lead User Operations at OpenAI. Several Shopify support leaders have departed, including Jen Bebb and Clovis Cuqui. Notably, Miqdad Jaffer has also joined OpenAI. Shopify’s Support organization has experienced new leadership changes.
