OpenAI has upgraded ChatGPT to run on the new GPT-4-Turbo model, offering improved reasoning, a more conversational tone, and enhanced performance. The updated model is only available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. GPT-4-Turbo boasts improved capabilities in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding, with a knowledge cut-off of December 2023.

GPT-4-Turbo, the latest version of OpenAI’s GPT-4 models, includes AI vision capabilities for the first time. Released to developers recently, it has now been integrated into ChatGPT. The new model has put OpenAI back at the top of the LMSys AI leaderboard, surpassing Anthropic’s Claude 3 with its natural responses.

OpenAI’s GPT-4-Turbo model underwent evaluations and benchmarks before release, showing increased performance overall. Notably, it demonstrated significantly improved performance on the GPQA benchmark set by Google. OpenAI plans to continue investing in model improvement to enhance ChatGPT’s performance. GPT-4-Turbo is already available in Microsoft Copilot for both free and paid users.
