Google has reported seeing unconfirmed reports of OpenAI’s activity related to scraping and downloading YouTube content. Both robots.txt files and Terms of Service prohibit this action. OpenAI, now backed by Microsoft, trained its AI models using YouTube data, as reported last year by The Information. YouTube is a major source of web content.
