Peloton has removed its unlimited free-membership tier on its fitness app due to low paid subscriber conversions. New users now have to choose from two paid tiers at $12.99 or $24 a month. CEO Barry McCarthy’s rebrand aimed to shift focus to app growth but failed to engage free users as hoped, leading to a decline in app subscribers. Despite this, Peloton remains committed to its app strategy.
