Singapore Telecommunications anticipates a net loss for the second half of fiscal year 2024, with exceptional non-cash impairment provisions of S$3.1 billion. The company expects lower net profit for the full year ending March 31, 2024, with about S$2 billion linked to Optus’ goodwill. A potential deal for Optus has been ruled out, leading to non-cash impairment provisions of S$470 million on enterprise fixed access network assets. Singtel aims to pay at the upper end of its dividend policy for the year.
