Apple gains 2% with EU recognition, JinkoSolar stock rises 3%, Daqo New Energy drops 7%.

Technology stocks were stable premarket, with the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) and Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) both inactive.

Apple’s iPad operating system is now considered a gatekeeper under the EU’s Digital Markets Act, leading to a 2% increase in Apple shares before the opening bell.

JinkoSolar Holding (JKS) saw a more than 3% increase in shares after reporting Q1 earnings of 1.34 Chinese renminbi per diluted share, beating analyst expectations.

Meanwhile, Daqo New Energy (DQ) shares dropped nearly 7% after reporting lower Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue.
