Amazon, Microsoft, Pfizer To Invest Billions In French Projects

Major companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Pfizer, and others, announce a total of 15 billion euros in foreign investments in France as part of the ‘Choose France’ business summit led by President Macron.
Amazon plans to invest 1.2 billion euros in French operations, creating over 3,000 permanent jobs. Microsoft will invest 4 billion euros in AI. Pfizer and AstraZeneca also announced investments totaling nearly $1 billion.
Other companies like GSK and Accenture are expected to announce investments as well. Morgan Stanley will open a new office in France, creating 100 additional jobs.
French Finance Minister to meet with CEOs of major banks. Last year’s summit saw 13 billion euros in foreign investments. Amazon’s planned investment includes expanding cloud and logistics infrastructure. Microsoft set to open a data center in Mulhouse, France.
Pfizer to invest 500 million euros in R&D in France, while AstraZeneca will invest $388 million in Dunkirk site. Le Maire stresses the importance of capital for new industries and the economy, calling for concrete steps to boost capital markets in Europe.
