Asian stocks remained range-bound on Tuesday as investors awaited key inflation data and the U.S. market holiday limited trading cues. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index outperformed, supported by a tech rally, while Chinese markets stayed flat amid optimism over new stimulus measures for the chipmaking industry.

In broader Asian markets, Australia’s ASX 200 fell 0.2% due to lower-than-expected retail sales, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 and Topix indexes dipped ahead of key economic data later in the week. South Korea’s KOSPI traded sideways and India’s Nifty futures indicated a flat open.

Investors are also eyeing key CPI data from the eurozone and the U.S. Federal Reserve’s inflation gauge release on Friday, which will impact rate cut expectations in the world’s largest economy. Sentiment remains cautious as markets brace for upcoming economic indicators.
