Artist Yu Shu crafted a bronze bust sculpture of Charlie Munger, displayed at the Omaha Marriott during the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting. Munger’s daughter Wendy and assistant Doerthe Obert admired the work, which took 12 months to complete. Copies of the bust are available for purchase, with one already sold to a shareholder.

Yu Shu, inspired by Warren Buffett’s advice, turned her passion for art and Berkshire into a business. The real estate agent-turned artist met Munger’s assistant for profile shots, creating a detailed sculpture. Full-sized bronze busts are priced at $19,500 each, with half-sized versions available for $595. More sculptures are in the works.

Yu Shu, a fan of Munger, embarked on her first sculpture project to honor the investing icon. Creating bronze sculptures, she believes, mirrors the principles of value investing – requiring patience and persistence. A Berkshire shareholder bought the Munger bust on display, aiming to gift it to the Munger family.
