Chinese stocks closed lower as traders awaited key inflation data and evaluated the effectiveness of China’s latest housing policy. Shanghai Composite index ended down 0.46% at 3,109.57, with the Hang Seng index down 0.03% at 18,821.16. On the upside, CES CN Semiconductor Index edged up after China launched a state-backed fund for the semiconductor industry.
