GameStop (GME) surges 25% after successful share offering, Amazon (AMZN) plans data center expansion in Italy.

Consumer stocks like XLY and XLP were slightly down premarket, with XLY declining by 0.2% and XLP down 0.1%. GameStop’s stock, GME, was up over 25% following a successful share offering of 45 million shares at an average price of $20.74 each, raising $933.4 million.

Vista Outdoor, VSTO, saw its board reject an offer from MNC Capital to acquire the company for $37.50 per share in an all-cash deal, leading to a 1% drop in its stock pre-bell. Meanwhile, Amazon, AMZN, is reportedly planning to invest billions in expanding its data center business in Italy through its Amazon Web Service unit, with shares down 0.3% premarket.
