Dave Niewinski, a YouTube robotics influencer, won first place in the Hackster AI Innovation Challenge for his Interactive Animatronic GLaDOS robot. Utilizing NVIDIA Jetson platform and LLMs, Niewinski created a personal assistant based on the GLaDOS guide from the Portal game series. Other winners featured innovative projects in generative AI and edge computing. Ciobanu’s project focused on improving virtual clothing try-on experiences, while Tao developed a robot to help find lost items using advanced object detection and LLMs. Utilizing Jetson Orin, the winners showcased the potential of AI in robotics and edge computing applications.
