Google's Password Manager now allows users to securely share passwords with family members

Google has introduced family sharing for saved passwords with the May 2024 update to Google Play services, allowing users to securely share passwords with family members via Password Manager.

The feature, initially announced in February 2024, is now available in the v24.20 update of Google Play services. Users can create a family group, add members, and share passwords within the group through Google Password Manager.

This feature is currently accessible on mobile devices but may not be enabled on the desktop version of Chrome yet. Google suggests it could benefit parents accessing school assignments or coordinating activities through a shared account. Additionally, a Material You redesign is being implemented for the password manager.
