Jim Cramer optimistic about Apple's Vision Pro VR headset, but sales forecasts slashed

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has a massive valuation near $3 trillion, trailing only Microsoft. Jim Cramer is optimistic, not because of new products or services, but due to Apple’s unproven Vision Pro virtual reality headsets. However, sales forecasts have been slashed, raising doubts about its potential impact on Apple’s earnings.

While Cramer sees huge potential in targeting businesses with the Vision Pro, the high price tag of $3,499 could deter consumers. Apple is now forecasting lower sales of 400,000 to 450,000 units this year, compared to Meta Platforms selling tens of millions of its Quest headsets at a lower price point.

Despite the enthusiasm for Vision Pro, analysts caution that it might not significantly impact Apple’s revenue due to the high sales volume needed at the current price point. While Apple has strong fundamentals, including a loyal customer base and growing services business, the success of Vision Pro remains uncertain.

The service offers guidance for investors seeking high potential returns and has outperformed the S&P 500 index since 2002.
