Japan stocks, including Nikkei 225, rose 0.74% with increasing top performers and rising stocks

Japan stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Nikkei 225 gaining 0.74%. Top performers included Kansai Electric Power Co Inc, Furukawa Electric Co., and Fuji Electric Co. CyberAgent Inc, Nexon Co Ltd, and Konami Corp were among the session’s worst performers. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones, with shares in Kansai Electric Power Co Inc reaching 5-year highs.

The Nikkei Volatility Index was up 4.37%. Crude oil prices saw an increase, with July delivery up to $78.03 a barrel. Brent oil for August delivery rose to $82.17 a barrel, while June Gold Futures also rose to $2,368.05 a troy ounce. USD/JPY and EUR/JPY both saw slight decreases, while the US Dollar Index Futures remained stable at 104.64.
