Live Nation Entertainment is investigating a data breach at Ticketmaster discovered on May 20. Unauthorized activity was found in a third-party cloud database containing Ticketmaster data. Last week, cybercrime group ShinyHunters claimed to have stolen data from over 500 million Ticketmaster customers. Live Nation has not confirmed this. The breach comes amid antitrust scrutiny against Live Nation.

Live Nation said a criminal threat actor offered company user data for sale on the dark web. They are working to mitigate risks, cooperating with law enforcement, notifying regulatory authorities, and affected users. The breach is not expected to have a material impact on the company’s business or financials. They continue to evaluate risks and remediation efforts are ongoing.
