McDonald’s has opened four CosMc’s locations since December, offering a customizable drink menu to attract younger consumers. Even if the spinoff doesn’t last past 10 locations, the loyalty program and app provide valuable consumer insights.

Customers eagerly flocked to McDonald’s new CosMc’s spinoff when it first opened, creating long drive-thru lines. While the initial excitement has waned, the average wait time is still manageable compared to industry benchmarks. Now, investors are more focused on McDonald’s overall same-store sales growth than on the success of CosMc’s.

At the Bolingbrook CosMc’s location, customers can choose from a wide drink selection and limited snack menu, customized with various add-ons. With more than 70 items on the menu, the drive-thru experience is designed to be quick and efficient with the use of digital displays, mobile ordering, and online payment options.
