Meta Platforms enhances safety features in CrowdTangle for EU elections

Meta Platforms has added safety features to its misinformation tracking tool CrowdTangle for use during European Parliament elections. Candidates for next month’s polls will be directed on how to protect themselves, such as setting up two-factor authentication and using Hidden Words on Instagram. The move was welcomed by the European Commission, with formal proceedings against Meta remaining open.
