In afternoon trading, Energy stocks are down 0.4%, with APA Corp (APA) and Occidental Petroleum Corp (OXY) lagging at 1.5% losses. The Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) is down 0.6% today, up 12.14% year-to-date, while APA is down 15.19% and OXY is up 5.26% YTD, making up 3.2% of XLE.
The Services sector shows a 0.1% loss, with Booking Holdings Inc (BKNG) and Meta Platforms Inc (META) down 2.1% and 2.0%. The iShares U.S. Consumer Services ETF (IYC) is down 0.1% today, up 5.07% YTD, with BKNG up 5.22% and META up 31.96% YTD, making up 2.4% of IYC’s holdings.
S&P 500 components show Technology & Communications, Consumer Products, and Healthcare sectors up, while Utilities, Industrial, and Materials are flat. Services and Financial sectors are down 0.1%, while Energy is down 0.4%.
