Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Inc., informed employees about the disbandment of a group of 500 individuals responsible for building new Supercharger stations. Despite layoffs, Tesla plans to prioritize 100% uptime and expand existing locations instead of new ones, causing concerns about the future of EV infrastructure.

The sudden layoffs at Tesla, including the charging division, have left many speculating about the future of the EV infrastructure. With Tesla opening its Superchargers to non-Tesla vehicles and Governor Gavin Newsom’s announcement about increased fast-charging stations, clarity on Tesla’s future plans is crucial.
