OpenAI announces the development of Media Manager, a tool allowing content owners to manage their ownership preferences for content used in AI training models. Facing controversies and lawsuits from news organizations, OpenAI seeks to address copyright issues with this new tool set for launch in 2025.

OpenAI introduces a new tool to detect images created by its DALL-E AI art generator, identifying over 98% of images accurately. The tool is currently in private testing and aims to assess the classifier’s effectiveness in real-world applications. OpenAI also joins the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity Steering Committee and partners with Microsoft to create the $2 million Societal Resilience Fund for AI education and understanding.
