OpenAI offers discounts on corporate ChatGPT to nonprofits, focusing on enterprise sales

OpenAI will offer discounts on corporate ChatGPT subscriptions to nonprofit organizations, with large nonprofits getting 50% off the enterprise-grade version and smaller nonprofits paying $20 per user per month for ChatGPT Team. ChatGPT became the fastest application to acquire 100 million users, prompting OpenAI to focus on enterprise sales.

In partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), OpenAI has granted $250,000 for developing an education chatbot called aprendIA. The IRC helps people affected by crises, like the war in Ukraine, by providing resources for educators in crisis zones. The chatbot is currently being piloted in places like Bangladesh and Nigeria to support children facing unique challenges.

Aimed at assisting educators in crisis zones where 224 million children lack proper resources, aprendIA allows teachers to create personalized teaching content. IRC plans to expand the chatbot’s reach globally by making it available on low-tech devices and popular chat platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger in multiple languages.
