Paramount Global’s special committee evaluated bids from potential buyers after ending exclusive negotiations with Skydance Media. Sony Pictures Entertainment and Apollo Global Management expressed interest, but the committee has not contacted them yet. Skydance is also exploring its options. Paramount has struggled due to strikes, soft advertising, and declining cable subscriptions, leading to a 65% drop in shares since the CBS-Viacom merger in 2019.
