OpenAI has signed 100,000 PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) employees to its ChatGPT enterprise platform. PWC will also be OpenAI’s biggest customer and first partner to resell ChatGPT’s offerings. PwC’s Generative AI Leader sees this as a growth opportunity without necessarily threatening jobs.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT enterprise tier offers faster, unlimited interactions, and customized models for different use cases. It aims to monetize generative AI products, with PWC being the first partner to resell it. OpenAI looks to convince companies to view generative AI products as a major investment in IT and workforce.

The enterprise tier for OpenAI’s ChatGPT has around 600,000 users, including 93% of Fortune 500 companies. While exact usage of generative AI products at PwC is not disclosed, the education tools built for training have received high engagement. Generative AI could open up new business opportunities for consulting firms like PwC.

100,000 employees from PwC in the U.S., U.K., and the Middle East are onboarded on Open AI’s AI platform. There are plans to expand ChatGPT usage globally within PwC, bringing an additional 328,000 employees into the enterprise tier. The move to generative AI could revolutionize how firms approach digital transformation and business growth.
