OpenAI has launched its latest AI model, GPT-4o, which can provide real-time translations and answer questions based on physical surroundings, just a week after its release. CEO Sam Altman finds it helpful for multitasking, allowing him to get instant responses without changing his workflow. Altman also discussed his loss of privacy due to his tech prominence in San Francisco, where he can no longer dine out in public. He also talked about his brief ousting from OpenAI last year, living in an adrenaline-charged state before being reinstated as CEO. The parent company of Business Insider, Axel Springer, has a global deal to train OpenAI’s models on its media brands’ reporting.
