Passengers on Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 experienced extreme turbulence over Myanmar, causing chaos in the cabin. Dozens were injured and one passenger died from a suspected heart attack. The Boeing 777-300R diverted to Bangkok after a rapid change in vertical rate. The crew, who were not seated at the time, suffered injuries as they were serving passengers. The incident lasted only a few seconds, with debris strewn throughout the cabin. Passengers were treated for head and spinal injuries, while some had to be resuscitated onboard. Medical tents were set up on the tarmac in Bangkok to examine the injured.
