AS Tallinna Vesi’s Q1 sales revenue increased by 2% to €14.94 million, driven by core water services. Net profit fell to €3.01 million due to higher interest expenses. CEO Timofejev highlights large-scale projects in 2024, including improving biological treatment processes and a CHP plant. Operating profit rose 1.4% to €4.13 million despite challenges in maintaining profitability.
Tallinna Vesi achieved high-quality tap water in Q1, meeting all quality requirements. Investments in ice pigging technology and water pumping stations ensure clean water. Effluent from Paljassaare Wastewater Treatment Plant met all standards. Water interruptions were minimized with timely customer notifications and an average 2 hours and 44 minutes duration.
The company continued investment projects for efficient water treatment, renewal of filtration systems, digesters, and gear replacements at treatment plants. Major upcoming projects include ozone technology upgrade, backwash water reuse, and clarifier conversion. The cogeneration plant’s commissioning and acceptance are in final stages.
