OpenAI has announced a deal with News Corp to train AI models on articles from The Wall Street Journal and other brands. This multi-year agreement will give OpenAI access to News Corp content. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has discussed the importance of AI model training data and the potential impact on publishers. Other recent AI news includes Spotify developing an AI DJ feature and Meta creating an AI advisory council. The Federal Communications Commission proposed AI disclosure requirements for political ads, and Truecaller partnered with Microsoft to allow customers to answer phone calls in their own voice. Humane, the company behind the Ai Pin, is considering a sale, while TikTok is incorporating generative AI into its ads business. Microsoft introduced Copilot+ PCs with AI-powered features, and OpenAI faced backlash over a text-to-speech voice that sounded like Scarlett Johansson.
