West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. is pleased to report drill results from its 100% owned Madsen Mine in Ontario. The South Austin Zone contains Indicated mineral resources of 474,600 oz of gold and Inferred resources of 31,800 oz of gold. Significant intercepts include 3.1m @ 21.33 g/t Au and 9.0m @ 6.75 g/t Au.

The high-grade mineralization encountered near the collar in Hole MM24D-07-4198-012 is believed to be the down-dip continuation of a mineralized domain defined further up in the system. The purpose of the drilling reported in this news release is definition within South Austin to continue building an inventory of high-confidence ounces for eventual restart of the Madsen mill. The drill program is focused on more continuous and higher-grade portions of the Austin, South Austin, and North Austin Zones.

The South Austin Zone, part of the Madsen Mine, is accessed through the West Portal and consists of mineralized domains within broad alteration and deformation corridors. The current underground drilling program is focused on defining near-term mining inventory and growing the current mineral resource. High-grade intervals are identified by fine grains of free gold within strong alteration and veining. Drilling will continue through 2024.

Drilling completed underground at the Madsen Mine consists of BQ-sized diamond drill core for definition programs. Control samples are inserted at a 5% rate to ensure accuracy, precision, and contamination control. Samples containing visible gold are supervised during cutting and bagging to minimize sampling bias. Bagged samples are transported directly to SGS Natural Resource’s Facility in Red Lake, Ontario for assay.
