Today, the Federal Reserve announced they are keeping interest rates unchanged at 0-0.25%. This decision comes as the economy continues to recover from the impact of the pandemic. The Fed is also forecasting two rate hikes in 2022 and three in 2023, signaling confidence in economic growth. Vice Chair Richard Clarida stated that the policy was made in response to “substantial further progress” towards their goals of full employment and 2% inflation.
