Ford Motor plans to introduce a $30,000 all-electric vehicle in two and a half years, aimed at competing with Chinese automakers like BYD and an upcoming Tesla model. Ford CEO Farley emphasizes the importance of smaller, affordable EVs over larger, less profitable models. Ford’s EV unit lost $1.32 billion in Q1 2024.
