Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen’s interview with Jim Cramer led to a 15% jump in Adobe’s shares after the company reported earnings and revenue that exceeded expectations. Earnings per share were $4.48 (vs. $4.39 expected) and revenue was $5.31 billion (vs. $5.29 billion expected) for the quarter ending May 31, growing 10% year over year. Adobe predicts adjusted earnings per share of $4.50 to $4.55 and revenue of $5.33 billion to $5.38 billion for the fiscal third quarter. Before this news, Adobe’s shares were down 23% this year while the S&P 500 index was up around 14%. Executives will discuss the results further in a conference call at 5 p.m. ET.
