Apple has unveiled iOS 18, featuring new AI capabilities and a more customizable homescreen. The operating system also includes updates to Control Center, the Passwords app, and enhanced security.

iOS 18 prioritizes artificial intelligence and introduces Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia.

iOS 18 brings a redesigned Control Center for easier access to daily tasks and increased customization options. Users can swipe between different control groups for media playback, Home controls, and connectivity.

Privacy improvements in iOS 18 allow users to require authentication for specific apps or hide them completely. The Passwords app makes it easier to access passwords, passkeys, Wi-Fi passwords, and verification codes.

The iOS 18 developer beta is now available through the Apple Developer Program, with a public beta coming next month. The free software update will be released this fall for iPhone Xs and later models.

Apple Intelligence will be in beta on selected devices, providing powerful and intuitive experiences with privacy at the core.
